Sullivans Cove: The toast of the world.

This time it’s Sullivans Cove that’s doing Tassie whisky-lovers proud. Its French Oak Cask has been named the World’s Best Single Malt Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards. Although the award’s been an annual event since 2007, this is the first time that any nation apart from Scotland or Japan has won.

The winning bottle of Sullivans Cove came from cask 525, and just 516 bottles were created. Sullivans Cove itself only has three bottles left, and they’re holding onto them for the time being.

Anyone got a bottle of cask 525 themselves? Send us a Tweet and let us know what you’re planning to do with it.
