Redlands Distillery has produced Australia’s only paddock-to-bottle single malt whisky.
This means that every ingredient and every step of the whisky production is done on-site – from collecting the water and growing the grain, to bottling the finished product.
They know what day the barley was planted, harvested, steeped and floor malted, the variety of water and yeast used and barrel history.
It’s something that few other distilleries can boast. Since moving from their original location, Redlands has forgone paddock-to-bottle production, however in September 2016 Redlands Distillery sowed their first crop of barley in their new home of Kempton and look forward to reviving paddock-to-bottle production once again when their new distillery is built in 2017.
